Pyramid Solitaire is an engaging card game that combines visual searching, simple arithmetic, and careful board management. In Pyramid Solitaire, Kings hold a numerical value of 13 all by themselves. Because they do not require a matching card to be removed, Kings are the easiest cards to clear from the board.

When scanning the initial pyramid, look specifically for trapped complements. For instance, if you see a 6 buried near the top of the pyramid, locate where all four 7s are placed. If all four 7s are trapped beneath the 6 itself, clearing that 6 will require finding a 7 in the stock pile!

It is tempting to flip rapidly through the stock pile in search of easy matches, but cycling through your draw cards too quickly is a common path to a dead end.
